Science For Breakfast Program:  The next Science for Breakfast will be held at Richard Stockton College on April 22, 2006.  The tentative program has now been published.  Click here to read a letter from NJAS president, Tom Brown, inviting teachers to bring students to this exciting event. Attendance is free but you will need to complete and send in this registration form to sign up for this event.  The registration deadline is April 8. We hope to see you there.  Finally, here is a poster (MS Word format) that you can download and post to raise interest in this event with students in your school.

Annual Meeting:  The 51st Annual Meeting of the Academy will be held on Saturday April 8, 2006 at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. Students who receive support from our GIA program MUST present the findings from their research at this meeting. Teachers preparing their students for this meeting should read the materials in the teacher's package.  All forms needed to register students for this event are included in that package.

Any NJ high school student may present his or her research findings at the Junior Academy Section of the New Jersey Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting. To register for the meeting, a teacher, supervisor or principal from your school must return to NJAS, the requisite registration and abstract forms for all students entering from your school, along with payment from each student.  The deadline for submitting forms and payment to your teacher is February 5, 2006.  All forms and checks from the school must be submitted to NJ Academy of Science by February 15, 2006.  These materials must be submitted as a group from the school.  Individual student abstracts or checks will not be accepted by NJ Academy of Science.  Please follow the format described in this document (Home-schooled students should have the parent or lead teacher send in the materials.)

While at the Annual Meeting, teachers can earn 3 CEU credits while attending our annual workshop.  This year's workshop will introduce teachers to the FIRST Robotics Program.
